Long Island Business News Announces Top 50 Women in Business

Long Island Business News has selected Elisa Berger, Ph.D., President/Principal of Cross Country Computer, as a recipient of a 2026 Top 50 Women in Business Award.

Launched in 2000, the Top 50 Women in Business awards recognize Long Island’s top women professionals for their business acumen, mentoring and community involvement. The program’s honorees are selected by a judging committee and represent the most influential women in business, government and the nonprofit fields.

Five women will be inducted into the Circle of Excellence, receiving the award for a third and final time. A listing of honorees is below.

These women elevate, educate, mentor, support and empower other women and work to make Long Island a wonderful place to live and work,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Long Island Business News. “We are also pleased to honor this year’s Circle of Excellence recipients who have had an incredible impact on the community and beyond. These women have shattered glass ceilings, redefined possibilities and selflessly mentor the next generation. Long Island Business News is pleased to celebrate this year’s Top 50 Women in Business honorees.”

The honorees will be recognized at an event on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Crest Hollow Country Club, 8325 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. An exclusive winner networking reception begins at 5 p.m. followed by a general networking reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and the awards celebration at 6:30 p.m. The event hashtag is #LIBNevents. 

Attendance is limited, with sponsors receiving priority access.

There are various sponsorship levels available which include the right to use the event logo, multimedia marketing, a table to share with co-workers and guests at the event, and much more. If seats are available after the sponsorship deadline, a limited number of individual tickets will go on sale. Tables are only available with sponsorship.
